Applications

Different loads demand different power-system decisions.

Patsons configures generator packages around the operating risk and load behavior of each application. The same kVA rating can require a very different enclosure, controls, redundancy, fuel and testing strategy depending on where it will operate.

Frequently asked questions

Technical questions, answered clearly

Final selections and compliance are confirmed against the project specification and approved technical submittal.

Which industries does Patsons Energy support?

Published experience covers power generation, industrial, marine, automotive, oil and gas and off-highway sectors, with projects for construction, development and critical infrastructure clients.

Is standby generator sizing different from prime power sizing?

Yes. Duty rating, expected hours, average load, overload allowance, redundancy and maintenance strategy differ. The same site load may lead to a different selection for standby and prime use.

Can Patsons build a multi-generator power plant?

Patsons’ project record includes multi-set systems totaling several megawatts. The design requires a defined operating philosophy, synchronization, switchgear interfaces, fuel system and staged testing plan.

Can the generator be customized for a restricted site?

Often, yes. Provide the access route, maximum dimensions and weights, final footprint, service clearances and connection points so the package can be assessed before design begins.
